He looks to the left.He looks to the right.He sings his happy song!The next obvious step is to provide a link to click on an audio file to hear that happy song.  Uh, huh.  We’ll get there.  An upgrade, a little techno wrangling and we’re singing happy songs on the blog.  Alas, the time demands of a busy life in the modern world have prevented that next step so far. Or is it just that I’d rather spend my evening playing in the gardens than sorting out computerized technology?  Go figure.

In fact, this very cardinal is captured on the iphone singing his song immediately before and after these pictures were taken.  Sing he does.  Boy Howdy!  The cardinals are singing this spring!  But the tree is in its early stages of leaf today.  By next week it will be in full leaf.  I’m sticking with the plan to keep the photographs current and show the gardens in real time.  Plus, now that I’ve discussed this, I will quit thinking about it, and actually do it.  Are you that way too?
