Hello. It’s Jim. I would like to introduce you to my best friend. Firefox!
Yes, that’s a poppy. But if you would take a short flight of fancy with me, perhaps you can imagine my best friend in that picture. Beautiful and elegant. Seemingly simple yet quite complex. That’s her. She’s shares the world with me.
We’re in it together, Firefox and me. She’s my best friend. She’s also my mate, my lover, mother of my children and my lawfully wedded wife. We share the curious light in this beautiful place.
Together, we watch the gardens grow.
Together, we watch the flowers bloom.
Together, we discuss the gardens. Their growth, their bloom and their presentation on this wacky blog called In Jim’s Garden.
It has become apparent to Firefox that the blog community includes some really wonderful people, all of whom are sharing their perspectives of the world. She has now joined our ranks. Please welcome Firefox and check out her blog. http://firefoxit.wordpress.com/
Initially I think she plans to share pictures of her bouquets.
She makes quite a few of them.
They are well worth checking out. The details are amazing.
But, knowing Firefox like I do, I suspect that she will branch out beyond bouquets quite quickly. She lives in this rich environment and she sees the world in her own way. She finds things like these little red fungi fascinating.
She wonders why I don’t show pictures of things like these beautiful cherry tomatoes.
She really wonders why I haven’t been showing pictures of the gourds as they blossom and produce their little fruit.
Seriously. She can’t believe I haven’t been sharing pictures like this every week.
Even when it comes to flowers, I suspect Firefox will share a different perspective. A more gentle perspective.
A perspective which celebrates the curious geometry of nature.
Yet remains true to the essential elements of life and beauty.
Yep. I know Firefox and I am just sure she will show you her own interesting perspective.
I have no idea how often she will post. At her convenience, I hope. But if you find this curious piece of the earth we call In Jim’s Garden interesting (she came up with the name, by the way), you will most likely find Firefox’s perspective of it to be quite engaging. Check it out.
Meanwhile, she and I will continue to sit of an evening and discuss life, family, gardening and the curious people we meet, including those we meet through blogging.
Thank you for sharing our world. I really appreciate it. I couldn’t find a really awesome, amazing picture of us, but I did find a picture of another couple who has been spending the summer here. I think they are cute and I think they look a little like Firefox and me, together.
Cheers. Have a wonderful day! Remember to follow Firefox. 🙂

Thanks Cynthia. And thanks for visiting her blog. But come on, now. You make lovely arrangements. Just because your husband didn’t notice them in the middle of the table……. 🙂

Thanks so much, Amy. Thanks for checking out her blog. That crazy cherry tomato plant is producing a dozen or two little rip tomatoes a day right now. ‘Tis the season. 🙂

Love this post! Hurray to you for celebrating Firefox in such a beautiful way. And I love the red chairs in the woods.
Thank you. I’m glad you love this post. It is my genuine pleasure to celebrate her in such a way. And yes, the red chairs in the woods are looking good in that picture. It was taken in late April or Early May, as the leaves were just filling in on the maple trees. Cheers. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
The arrangements are fantastic!
Thanks. The lady who made them is pretty darn awesome herself! 🙂
Morning Jim! Wow your pics are just divine! Popped over to Firefox’s blog too, love her flower arrangements. As for that pic to finish .. Splendid! 🙂

Morning Julie! Thanks. The pics do catch some of the excellent light we experience around here. Thank you for popping over to Firefox’s blog. Keep an eye on it. She notices sooooo much more than I do. 🙂
Ah a female thing 😉
Very kind post ! beautiful bouquets ! Je ne suis absolument pas surprise que tu t’entendes si bien avec ta femme. On devine cette harmonie en admirant votre jardin. La vie est belle quand on aime 🙂
Merci Christiane. I’m glad you can detect such harmony in the gardens. I hope it is evident in the blog posts as well. Oui. Je suis d’accord. La vie est belle quand on aime. La vie est belle quand on parle cette amour devant tous le monde. 🙂
Hi Jim – what a beautiful journey you are traveling with Firefox. Thank you for sharing your beautiful surroundings. – Sharon
Thank you Sharon. Yes, we are traveling a beautiful journey together and the beautiful surroundings certainly don’t hurt. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
There is something that I find very attractive about squash tendrils. i have a small collection of dried ones.
just stumbled on this and really like your photos

That is very interesting. I have never thought of tendrils as dried. Keep on an eye on this blog, as I’m puzzling on another post about the gourds. They and their tendrils have been most interesting and entertaining for me this summer. Cheers. 🙂
Oh Jim, how blessed you are to be able to share your passion with your spouse. I can only dream that one day, my spouse would share my love of flowers and the beauty of the outdoors with me. I can’t wait to see Firefox’s blog posts. I will definitely follow her!
Thank you so much. Yes, it is better together. The blog world thing will be more fun as well, doing it together. Thanks for the kind comment. You make me feel quite blessed, indeed. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
If her blog is as beautiful as yours, I’m sure it will be a great success. Congratulations to you both on having each other and your blogs!
Thanks Tilly. She will present her own, curious take on the blog world, I’m sure. She’s quite insightful and should provide a nice balance to my blog, as she does in our day to day lives. 🙂
Stunning work! Thank you for the LIKE!
Thanks so much. You are welcome for the like, I found your blog quite charming. Cheers. 🙂
What beautiful photos! I wanted to sit in one of those Adirondack chairs and just soak it all up myself.
