I have a soft spot for zinnias because I grew them as a kid in a space allotted to me in my parent’s garden and they are so hardy even I couldn’t kill them off. Plus I can identify them – a big plus!
Gotta love flowers which are super beautiful and really easy to grow! My kind of gardening. 🙂
Beautiful photos and a fun post!
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I really love your amazingly excellent pictures of birds. 🙂
I am inspired to plant zinnias in my garden next year! Together with dahlia reminds me of childhood and my grandma’s garden. Thank you! 🙂
Great. You are welcome. I recommend planting them by seed, sowed directly into nicely tilled soil. I bet that’s how your grandma did it. 🙂
Yes, she did and I helped her do it. That’s how I plant most of my flowers too, except annuals which I buy.
Zinnias are very beautiful in your garden and through your lens! Happy Wednesday, Jim 🙂
Thanks Amy. And a happy Thursday to you, as I get back to you. Yes, they are beautiful. I just love ’em. 🙂
Your poem made me smile, Jim–and your zinnias are divine. Thank you.
You are welcome and thank YOU Jet. The zinnias are awesome this year and I’m genuinely glad to make you smile. Have a great day. 🙂
Cute narrative to go along with the lovely flowers. Thanks for making me smile. 🙂
Always my pleasure to help someone smile. Thanks for sharing my blog world, Irene. ‘Tis the season for blooming and smiling around here! 🙂
My garden will have zinnias next year! So pretty.
You bet it will. They are real troopers, those zinnias.. Super gorgeous and easy to grow. I sow the seeds directly into the soil. No starters, flats or anything like that. They respond extremely well to such treatment and bloom well for weeks, if not months. Have a great day! 🙂
I love zinnias! I still have one in my vege garden, even if it is dying. Loathe to haul it out . Lovely Jim 🙂
One last little zinnia…. awww. Poor little thing. Alas. It put out plenty of seeds, I hope. Have a wonderful winter day Julie. 🙂
Summer gardens just wouldn’t be the same without them!
Nope. They sure wouldn’t. Our summer gardens would be ever so much less cheerful without the super bright zinnias, always willing to shine as other bloomers fade. Cheers. 🙂
Zinnias bring back great childhood garden memories of gorgeous color, ladybugs and making mud pies, thank you for sharing. – Sharon
You are welcome, Sharon. Thank you for reading. They are rather timeless, aren’t they? Have a great day. 🙂

Those are perfect comments for a perfect little flower…
I thank you most sincerely. Perfection is a beautiful thing and the flower seems to be achieving it at least. 🙂
Absolutely adorable!!!! 🙂 The bouquet is stunning! 🙂
Thanks. I will tell my lady that you like the bouquet. She made it. We have lots of flowers from which to make bouquets, as you can see. 🙂
